Twenty-year industry veteran with numerous technical books, articles and conference appearances to his name. Been through a lot of different platforms: C++ (Windows and Qt), Java, .NET, iOS, Android, NodeJS. Used a lot of different data storage engines, both relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) and non-relational (CouchDB, MongoDB, Cassandra). Loving life in the cloud (Amazon, Azure, Google Cloud), and teaching mobile (iOS and Android) to students at the University of Washington.
